Philosophy of Iron

Pursuer is another bizarrely missing character. Given its reviving, dimension hopping, cursed nature, it seems a perfectly suited enemy to stalk and ambush players in Limveld. He could warp out of the ground wherever you go until defeated, like Morgott.

Bad idea; Bloodborne is way too small a game with too few enemies and bosses to accommodate the Nightreign treatment. Every expedition would feel the same, and all the old bosses would get trivialized. They'd need to make both Duskbloods and BB2, and then take from all three, + DS3 to get enough content. ER was able to accommodate this b/c it's uniquely huge, varied, and already structured as open world

That would require open-worlding BB first. I wouldn't be surprised if From did at some point give us a "spiritual successor" open-world Bloodborne-like, that hints at being a literal sequel just implicitly enough to stay legally distinct. Best possibility to me though, is a direct sequel with just a way bigger, more complex metroidvania world.

Martyr Logarius. Aava. Sinh. Pursuer. Aldrich with half-consumed Rennala. The Demon Prince. Old Hero. Smelter Demon. Scorpioness Najka. Priscilla. The Dancer. Crystal Sage. Iudex Gundr. Baneful Queen. Fume Knight.

Deadends after bosses. If I struggle my way to a boss, and manage to learn and overcome them, I don't want to be rewarded with just a warp to return to where I came from. When we haven't reached the endgame limits of the map yet, bosses should be stopping your progress and guarding something, not just sitting in an empty room as something to do. DS1 didn't have this problem.

Legacy dungeons too short and simple. Elden Ring breaks up its themed dungeons into small doses spread out over the map. This makes each individual dungeon short and underwhelming, usually with only one boss, or one "real" boss, and one boss that is a copy/pasted repeat enemy. Liurnia would've had a much more memorable legacy dungeon if Lucaria Manor, Raya Lucaria Academy and the Divine Tower there were combined as a single megadungeon. Shadow Keep would've been much better with Castle Ensis attached to it, and Rellana gating the way forward. Balurat would've had more impact if Balurat, Rauh and Enir-Elim made up a single giant dungeon. This would be more like the legendary dungeons of Demon's Souls, or sequences in Dark Souls like Lower Undead Burg > The Depths > Blighttown > Queelag.

Open-world areas too empty. There is a lot of horse-riding over empty space, that looks beautiful but is basically unused. Charo's Hidden Grave & Cerulean Coast were extreme examples. They shouldn't build more map than they have interesting content for.

Too much time spent on formulaic mini-dungeons. From's greatest strength is in unique, hand-crafted areas with unique atmosphere, theming, layouts and logics of progression. The Bloodborne chalice dungeons and Elden Ring catacombs, caves and mines are they opposite. They're anonymous places that repeat the same themes and enemies according to repeated formula. I don't feel like I'm discovering the world or progressing my adventure in these places, and I forget them after I leave them. Good ideas better used elsewhere are wasted in these

Yes, I've wanted 2-player co-op since Dragon's Dogma 1! I love the pawn system, and would want to see multiplayer that interacts with it, rather than serves as a substitute. Like for instance, a player showing up with their main pawn, for a party of two players and two main pawns, or perhaps high level areas that allow parties of six, which could possibly be 2 players, 2 main pawns, and 2 recruited pawns. I want to share Dragon's Dogma experiences with friends, rather than just playing separately and then talking about them. I would even buy a multiplayer re-release of Dragon's Dogma 1.
