Nintendo is a patent troll and I wish all the worst to them. Yes, largely because they seem to hate, even loathe their own fans. Well, it is the same for us. We like the products and hate the one releasing them.

Kids who were born when we first didn't get HL3 despite everyone and their dog waiting for it are now old enough to get bamboozled by news about HL3 getting released themselves!
