Craftopia came out before they even filed for these patents. And there are plenty of games that aren't mods that use similar systems. World of Warcraft has their battle pets system. You can also ride/fly tons of different mounts. ARK was mentioned because it also has a pokeball type system as well as you being able to ride/fly on the backs of the dinos. Please try not to defend scummy Failtendo.

I don't think the explanation was needed but I do think the fall is actually a great justification. If you've ever experienced a traumatizing injury you have to relearn how to do things and build your strength back up. I think the recovery was too quick for how bad it was supposed to be though. And I'd like to hear occasional complaints out of Henry about how his shoulder is still giving him issues or something to that effect to really sell it.

If true, this is certainly scummy on Nintendo's part. I know the laws are different in Japan but how are they going to be able to defend these patents with mechanics that are prevalent in countless other games? Capturing creatures is not an idea they came up with. Riding captured creatures is not something they came up with. Humans have been capturing and taming animals for thousands of years, even ones we can ride. I'm losing all respect I once held for Nintendo.
