The ESRB states that profanity is allowed due to the M rating for mature audiences. Kids are not supposed to be playing this game. Censorship should be minimal if at all.
However it seems that they now cater these games to children contrary to ESRB with enforced censorship standards.
I do not understand their reasoning. Censorship never works because too many innocent people get caught in the crossfire. Hence why Meta, X plus many others admitted it does not work and relaxed the standards. Now games are losing players and getting negative feedback due to it.
It is obvious they should let the rating speak for itself and avoid extra rules being enforced.

Not releasing day 1 is definitely a contributing factor.
But also account for how Ubisoft games are declining in quality and getting more 'woke'. And no longer being catered to the main gaming demographic.
Ask yourself. Who wants to play as a Muhammad type protagonist. Much as it will hurt feelings saying this. It is the truth of the matter. Onto that his mentor was a female. It's like Ubisoft does not even know Arab/muslim culture. Men mentor men in their culture.
AC: Shadows is going down the same route. Putting themes in Japenese history that makes zero cultural sense. Like a black Samurai. How can a slave become a Samurai when he was only in Japan for 18 months. And a female Shinobi. Shinobi were a male only faction. Forcing dumb stuff in because of DEI hurts immersion.

Anyone else notice that 90% of protagonists in games releasing now are female?
It's becoming boring and cringe.
They do understand that most female gamers shy away from gore/horror games right.
Maybe they should study up on what demographic they should be catering to.
