There's exactly 3 cases where a red call triggers:

During Deadline #3 (666 unlock)During Deadline #7 (super 666 unlock)If you answer the phone for the first time each deadline immediately after triggering a 666 in the previous round (starting a new round resets this, which is why the Heartbreak card works so well)

Note: If you rolled a 666 in the last round of the previous deadline, you're good to go! Answer immediately and it should be a red call. Otherwise, if you're farming red calls, wait to answer the phone until after you trigger a 666 that deadline, this will make it much easier to mark the floppy disk to unlock the sacred key & calls.
