I don't get how people are surprised by this. I was under the impression this game was very upfront about what kind of game it is, which is why I never gave it a second thought.

Sometimes I want to escape from the reality that is being nickel and dimed at every conceivable moment. And I'll pay for it. I'll give you $50 right now if you just give me a game and shut up about it. Sadly every year fewer companies have the decency to just sell you a thing.
