I've been paying for gamepass since it's initial release in 2017, and have paid for ultimate ever since it was split off from basic. $10 to $15 was something I expected to happen, and while I wasn't enthusiastic about another hike to $20, I could accept it with the amount of games I played using the service. But at nearly $400 a year, I'm better off buying the 4 AAA releases a year I play, and buying my indies and older games on my PC through steam. I cannot begin to fathom what Xbox's strategy is for getting more people invested in the Xbox ecosystem is with these recent egregious price increases, but as a lifelong xbox owner I sincerely hope it fails.
