See AllNew PS Plus Free Game for November 2025 is Part of a Strange Club
As a long time PS subscriber who is currently on the Premium tier, it's nice to get good worthwhile games on Essential regardless of whether it was on Extra and Premium previously. I don't feel like it's double dipping because I'm a subscriber and physical game collector with a huge backlog. I enjoyed Little Nightmarrs and Ghostwire Toyko previously before it came to Essential and it didn't bother me. What does bother me is when I bought a game and then it shows up on Essential, which happens a lot to me as a game collector.
I've tried Stray when it first appeared on Extra day one in 2022, liked it but never finished it, so I'm happy to get this title on Essential. Also, all games on Extra and Premium leave the service at some point, as did Stray after one year and Ghostwire Toyko after one year. I mostly use the Premium service to try new games that I want to either purchase for my collection or obtain on PS Essential and streaming titles on my PS5 Pro and Portal without the need to download games which takes up a lot of memory on my SSD.
The PSN subscription has had a really good year and I look forward to more good titles coming to all tiers.
PS Plus Free Game for November 2025 Leaks Online
In my opinion, PS Essential is having a really good year with many quality titles, such as Lies of P, Alan Wake 2, Psychonauts 2, Balatro, High on Life and Diablo 4.
Yes i've tried Stray when it first came out in 2022 on Extra but I'm happy to see this as an Essential game and to add this to my collection, as it's a worthy title to play again and own.
PS Plus Update Adding 8 Games on September 16
Crow Country looks like a worthy try. It's an old school horror game that did very well on metacritic. This is the one I'm most looking forward to.
PS5 Has 13 Big Games Releasing in October 2025
Wow, what a busy month and some good games are coming out. From the October release, I'm most looking forward to Ghost of Yotei. I love Ghost of Tsushima and cannot wait to play this.
A shout out goes to BF6, Little Nightmares 3, Ninja Gaiden 4 and Outer Worlds 2.
I'll be broke after October. Lol
Rumor: PlayStation Could Be Interested in Acquiring Warner Bros.' Gaming Franchises
Does Sony purchasing WB increase its monopolistic power an dwhat does this mean for creativity? I love WB games and many of my favorites are prior games, such as the Batman series, the Mortal Kombat series and even Mad Max. I love the Harry Potter series and see this being successful for years to come. Other new games, such as Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad have flopped and they need something refreshing to turn it around and I believe they'll do it whether they're owned by Sony or not. All indicate that they need to stick with the main protagonists, as secondary and non- primary characters are not as interesting. Marvel is learning this with their Thunderbolts movie. Nothing beats The Avengers and Justice League or most individual heroes from both. Spinoffs and lesser known superhero movies and games may work sometimes but they're extremely risky and seem to be lacking something.
Sony has a good track record of purchasing smaller studios and creating console exclusives. A WB purchase may increase the exclusives but it may also decrease overall creativity with less risky ventures and the use of proven formulas. On the other hand, Sony's last acquisition of Bungie hasn't planned out and it may very well be a loser in the end, meaning they overpaid and did not receive a good return on their investment.
As a long time PS subscriber and huge supporter of Sony Playstation consoles, I'm all for Sony to acquire WB but as a well rounded gamer, I can also do without it for all the reasons I noted. Sony's formula of acquiring other studios has worked well for them in the past and it facilitated Microsoft trying to do the same in purchasing big hitters like Bethesda and Activision. May the potential sale of WB games spark a bidding war between Sony and Microsoft?
The acquisitions will continue by the Sony's and Microsoft's of gaming. However, I take rumors with a grain of salt, but will not be surprised if Sony does it.
January 2026 Will Be the End of an Era for PlayStation Plus
I'll be a bit bummed out because I still use my PS4 Pro although I have both a PS5 and PS5 Pro. This'll probably mean less overall free PS Essential games. As the focus shifts to the new console generation, the total number of free games has always been reduced throughout the subscription history. Of course, the transition with a focus on PS5 games was inevitable.
There was an article several months ago that showed that half of Playstation gamers were still using a PS4. The change still affect them way more than me. The reason why I've kept using the PS4 Pro is because HDD storage is cheaper than an SSD. Our best hope is that Sony will kick down 3 PS5 monthly games, which can help justify the latest and future price hikes.
