I've watched the trailers - to be honest, I like the Falcon as a character. But to make him the new Captain America is a huge mistake IMHO. C.A. Is iconic and has been a white dude with super serum since 1941.

To suddenly recreate him as a black dude with no super powers is a huge mistake. Why can't a black super hero stand on his own as the Falcon - super cool with wings and gadgets? Black Panther certainly showed how popular a well made super hero/movie can be. I just hate the idea and hope the movie is a flop.

If early reviews and buzz is any indication, it seems it will be. For the record, I'm a liberal on the political spectrum, but the wokeness of making the new "cap" black with no powers is just boring and short sighted.

Not sure why they aged Chris Evans out of the role - I assume he was done playing the character - after all he's done it for years. But there had to be a better solution than reimagining him as they did.
