No Man’s Sky - Launch Trailer
I am not a day one player but my husband is. I didn't get into NMS until late 2018. Just watching the trailer the game looked fine to me. But then again, I'm not a picky player. What I enjoy the most about NMS ate the 35+ Free updates they have provided over the years. It's really the only game I play (with the exception of Animal Crossing during the COVID lock down) and the best update for me was 4.0 which dang near broke the NMS community with their storage management update. 4.0 showed who the true players were and all the trolls and whining brats showed their true colors. Again, I'm not a picky player at all. Sure, the update was a bit jarring but IMHO it was necessary for game progression. What followed after that was nothing short of spectacular with new ships, expeditions that taught you how to play the game, explore and relax by creating your own way to play. Anyone can look at any game and talk trash about how it is executed. I have never been one to be an early adopter of any first released concept. It's easy to criticize something when the sheer scope of a thing is not measured. The world is cruel to talk down about the things you do wrong (which basically almost EVERY NMS review/update videos always do) No Man's Sky has literally shown the path to doing a game correctly by not abandoning it and stealing players money, time and investment in the game. They have provided fixes quickly, consistently and free. That's right...FREE. No paid DLC. No micro transactions. No in game purchases. Wish I could brag on another game like this but that game doesn't exist. No Man's Sky has been a wild ride. And I'll be here for it until Jesus comes.
