The complaint about Selphie is unfounded. Her Limit Break becomes much better when you upgrade her weapon. I found that, when I had her best weapon, useful spells came up regularly. The End, which is the strongest Limit Break in the game, also appeared with greater frequency. Her ever effervescent disposition may be grating to some but she's still a solid party member.
