Early access and they're already testing out microtransactions? Yeah that's a *great* sign for what direction the game is headed. They make one good Diablo clone (and one that's phoning it in) and suddenly think they're beloved enough to get away with Microtransactions 😂

I get sick of gaming journalists constantly comparing this to Scarlet and Violet. Legends did *well* upon release; Scarlet/Violet absolutely did not and is still a bit of a problem child for the series. Stop comparing Legends anything to S/V. Compare it against *Legends Arceus*, which is really the only metric that matters. If it lives up to S/V standards, it will be a huge step back from the very start.

They love having their "second world". Maybe Link and Linkle could be two halves of a whole. She works map, dungeons and puzzles from one world, and you can immediately flip to Link who's in the same space in the other world to utilize "jumping between worlds" puzzle solving.

This isn't remotely disappointing and while gamers can be forgiven for thinking this; gaming journalists should know better. The end of a consoles life is its BEST time. Developers already know how to work with the system, what it can and cannot do, and what kinds of tips/loopholes/duct tape magicks they can work with it. It gives so much more focus to the actual game. I'm stoked they aren't dividing their attention on this title by trying to learn new hardware and run two sets of graphics simultaneously. This was the right move by far. The original game isn't even three years old yet (almost though). When you factor in the time it took for it to become a hit, consider a sequel, and to get it funded/greenlit? There wouldn't have been enough time for a GOOD Switch 2 development cycle. The game as a whole would've only suffered, not benefitted, from trying to move up or straddle the line.
