It is a chore. But it is meant to be. It is a disease my man, not a power up. Too many views it as a power up. I would also say you got INCREDIBLY unlucky getting vampirism so early on. I didn't contract it for the first time until I was nearly done with the game personally. Also you have plenty of chance to cure it, and several ways to cure it. It's a lesson learned if you didn't know, but sometimes it's (imo) good to stumble and learn the hard way. Sure, sucks in the moment. But should games have no punishments ever? I think vampirism could make for a cool playstyle too once you beat the game normally, if you wanted to have fun you could make a challenge of beating oblivion as a vampire for example and working around the hurdles. The realism is what many like about that. But trust me I get the frustration. I wasn't happy either becoming a vampire but I think that's precisely the point. It's a disease. Youre meant to want to get rid of it.
