Code Veronica was more of a sequel to RE2 than RE3 was. Code Veronica got the shaft when it came out partly because it was exclusive on the Dreamcast and because it missed out on being a numbered entry.

I might be the minority but I never cared for RE4 when it came out. It was too much of a departure from the games before it. I played some of the remake and didn't care much for that version either. RE 5 was rather blah too.
