That's a very bold statement.

I think 13 would have faired better if it had at least some open world in the first 20 or so hours. I played it when it released and hated the Crystalarium thing. Battles were great (after learning the paradigm shifts properly)

What I can remember was getting so utterly disenchanted with the game when I reached the Gold Saucer with Sazh aka Mr Gunman (a very inferior Barret).

I wanted to love it.. Just couldn't stick with it.

7 on the other hand I've completed at least 4 times. Watched Advent Children more times than I can count. Love the lore of 7.

Vivi Ornitier and Vincent Valentine have been my personal favourites for a long, long time. Although Vincent isn't the best in terms in stats his design and look are fantastic. Vivi needs no explanation I mean look at the chap. Humble, Brave, Loyal, Pointae Hat... What's not to love.

His story arc and the emotions it invokes are far stronger than most protagonists in the whole series.
