I think this article is wrong, what was wrong is that dr who went to woke, in the end the doctor was wearing a dress and kissing a guy, dr who has never been sexually fluid, I agree that there should always be brand new characters and stories and so on, but the basic premise of the main character is its continuity. If the this actor was so popular then the series and its ratings would have been more numerous than it would have have been.
