Pokemon Legends: Z-A is Being Review Bombed
I feel like Nintendo is at its best when they have to be. A look back through there history, the n64 did horrible compared to ps1 so they put a ton of effort into 1st party games on GameCube (still sold horribly) the wii started out really strong but as soon as it basically printed money the only games coming out were shuvleware, the wii u absolutely bombed but had some pretty amazing games which the switch totally leaned into helping it tremendously. (I'm curious how Nintendo will fare without a failed consoles library to round out its library for switch2) there is a pattern here, Nintendo does great one generation, than gets a big head, bombs the next, time will tell with switch 2, but I'll be very surprised if they come out on top this generation. Sorry I know that was kinda all over the place.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is Being Review Bombed
I gotta be honest, the last Pokémon games I played and enjoyed enough to finish was soul silver, I started the 3ds game "x" but quickly lost interest, not sure what happened but the series just lost me after that, maybe it's because I grew up and Pokémon didn't grow up with me (I played the originals and yellow on my OG Gameboy color (which I still have and drag out occasionally) religiously. I played 2 hours or so of legends before losing interest and haven't looked back since. To be honest I feel like Nintendo has this coming, between raising the price of it's games (even though they said tears of the kingdom was a special case) it's consoles and shadey practices like making 3rd party docks and peripherals unusable on switch 2 they deserve every bit of this, this boils down to more than just being mad at a single game, this is many diehard Nintendo "kids" finally getting fed up with corporate greed and lazy development practices. At least in my worthless opinion.
Legend of Zelda Fans Should Be Excited for June 5
For the first time in my life I'm not planning on getting a nintendo console at or near it's launch, I can't say I won't get one when the switch 2 is getting old and maybe I find a decent price on a used console, but as far as giving nintendo $450 or an average of $80 per game and most games won't even be on the cartridge, absolutely not. If nintendo likes em that much they can keep it. I've got a giant backlog of games to keep me more than busy, will i be envious of people playing there shiny new consoles and all the nintendo goodness that comes along with it? Absolutely, but sometimes you just have to draw a line in what you'll put up with (and this is coming from a guy who bought 2 wii u's) so sad to say, no this Zelda fan is not looking forward to June 5th. 😔
