Luffy experienced the awakened form of gear 5 but he has not mastered it. He will need to pair it with haki (hint: refer to kaido’s and by extension oda’s foretelling of true power is supreme halo to rule) and true mastery of any power is to be able to wield it at will (hint: all shonen hero’s true journey to overcoming themself). Nika will not only show an ultimate power but the current generation will do the previous one better by bringing the power to new heights that is not imaginable by our current understanding (what storytelling and by extension mortals constantly do to give us belief).
