The rate of progression is fine where it is, the lack of anyone saying it should be changed is a pretty good tell. Plenty more pressing issues with the game than progression.

Nintendo's ethos is going to catch up to them one day. Between their anti consumer practices, artificial supply shortages, failure to keep up with modern hardware, pushing novelties like motion controls on devs and games that dont need it, diminishing returns/reviews on their flagship series, and 3rd party titles and developers jumping ship to pc and other platforms, at some point, some critical mass will be acheived and there will be some kind of reckoning. Whether that means something better for consumers, or a doubling down on nintendos part is the question.
