Completely agree with you. I'm such a bad player I usually lose anyway. I don't care as long as I'm having fun. I usually like quirky decks anyway usually with a sprinkling of old cards no one ever sees. If someone blows up my lands so what it's a game. We can start another or swap decks. A lot of people are far too precious. It is essentially just a fun, expensive, way to pass the time in casual and that's it. Usually the commander is a clear indication of power level and what the deck does.
