Nintendo and Game Freak does consider Legends: Arceus and Legends: Z-A as mainline entries, not spin-offs.

Yeah, Steve is more of a blank slate, but he's definitely iconic. Fox McCloud is a honorable mention, for sure.

Link is definitely an honorable mention, but all his varios versions across the timeline can be categorized as different characters.

While Persona and SMT are obviously different subseries, I tried to keep it to one game per franchise, but SMT V definitely deserves a spot on here as well.

I thought so myself, but Hades popped up on Steam's search feature when I was looking for 10/10 RPGs, plus it has some prominent RPG mechanics.
