This list isn't the greatest unfortunately. There's a lot of incorrect information here, as if the author didn't play the games, or at least hasn't for awhile. Also, nothing from Silent Hill 2? The entire game is areas you don't want to visit. The prison in the remake alone is an incredible piece of horror media.
The loop theory has been floating around since the original. I don't think it's confirmed, because that's how Team Silent was, but there is evidence in the game that it's plausible.
