No Shadow Hearts or Star Ocean: Til the End of Time? Both are better than any game on this list. Persona 4 isn't even the best Persona game, let alone best PS2 jrpg. What an odd list...
Persona 5 above Infinite Wealth, or even Like a Dragon, is insane to me. Persona games are high school simulators that are all incredibly restrictive with what you can actually do in any given timeframe. LAD games have so much more freedom, have way more to do, and imo have a much better battle system due to the different classes. Plus, while they have silly moments, the storylines at least feel mature. Persona plays like a dating simulator.
I love Chrono Cross as much as anyone, but calling it one of the hardest jrpgs ever is an insane stretch. There are maybe 2-3 difficult battles all game, and they can still be easily beaten unless you get incredibly unlucky.
It's also not an arpg, at all. It is a turn-based jrpg. Come on...
