E.P is on point. Nothing about the current Battlefield iteration is competitive. Every piece of it is built around public matchmaking games.

It would be great if Battlefield would create some modes or ability for a competitive scene like CAL/TWL/TGL to take form again. It's a recipe for success in games like this--just follow the Counter-Strike mold."

Refreshing to see a take that understands that earlier BF games did have a (quite successful) competitive scene. It did die out after BF2, but it was a core part of the early series. And you see games that have held onto those PC roots (e.g., Counter-Strike) can adapt well into create a long-term commercial success, where a competitive scene helps build interest in the game over the years.
