If I'm honest Syphon Filter was more enjoyable than the first Metal Gear Solid game. Of course solid snake was great but for me its only the first ps1 game that made me love it. The controls were done well. Thats case closed for me- the other games were bad controls and less fun.

Good article i found it interesting. Yes this 'quick finish' has been around for awhile now and in fact you find yourself unwittingly finishing the game after leaving the game on without doing anything when you wonder wtf happened. Far Cry 4 was this for me. But of course the game is perhaps the most enjoyable far cry game there is so you do everything to prolong the game in fact i did. Far cry 3 and 4 are clearly the best games. I played through 6 and yes after you finish the very sameness and laboured game at times you want to never play the bloody thing again. I'm actually playing The Saboteur right now and I never knew it was rated so highly I never bothered with it back then. Ugh its bit so so for me and the graphics are pretty naff.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Bully are the complete standouts for me. Totally different but equally great. I would still edge towards 'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City' over Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas even though yes another hit on ps2
