I remember reading they only originally wanted 2 games but fans wanted extra content and things fleshed out more. So instead of stuffing everything on the second disc, they decided the best route was 3 games.

I personally have pushed and advocated for the remake ever since the PS3 e3 tech demo. After they finally announced it, I wasn't initially happy with them saying changes would be made. However I feel the changes were for the better. Had they kept everything exactly the same, we would already know exactly how everything would happen. With the changes they have made, they have managed to capture what made many of us enjoy from playing the OG for the first time on this remake.

While I can't say I like every change they have made... I like they have put in enough content and fleshed things out for 3 games. It gives me new stuff to enjoy while staying mostly true to the original.

I'm guessing when part 3 releases they are going to sell all parts at a discount physically. Digitally for rebirth they offered buy rebirth get remake integrade included (was for a limited time)... Only time will tell if they repeat that sort of offer for digital.

I'm going to be totally honest here. I have never beat Ozma nor have I actually attempted to face them (stating them as I don't believe there is a defined gender). I had my save file corrupt on my original playthrough and never finished the game. I have played and beat many other final fantasy titles including VIII and X, I just lost motivation on IX. These days I really want to revisit IX however.

If a remake is going to happen, and Ozma is going to be included... If there is a difficulty setting, make Ozma only able to be fought on Normal or Hard. I would not want Ozma to be made any easier. This is coming from someone that hasn't even fought them. I have seen videos since but I wouldn't want Ozma essentially "nerfed" as originally the fight was meant to be hard, an achievement.
