I agree with most of your comment with the exception that most console players are casual game players. Not exactly true. Most of your cod pros are console gamers. Because of all the controversy I went back to BO4 and I will tell you it's quite refreshing to play a game that doesn't crash and disband after every game. The streaks go ham. The formula to a good cod game is connection must be king, good maps, lobby balancing instead of EOMM, streaks that put in work, and consistent engagement from the devs to the community. BO6 is a game that you aren't playing because the game is playing you. These manipulative algorithms in their patents need to go. Their garbage servers simply cannot handle sbmm, eomm, cheaters, chat banning, disbanding lobbies, players exiting mid match, and prioritize connection at the same time. This is why the game has a good foundation but plays like hot trash.
This article misses the big picture here. The game is dieing because it's not organic. Matches are rigged, cheaters running rampant, micro transactions shoved down everyone's throats, disbanding lobbies, chat ban in a mature game, horrendous servers, and complete lack of communication with the community. The formula to a good cod game is to first and foremost prioritize connection, have streaks that go ham, removal of disbanding lobbies, relaxed sbmm, good 3 lane maps with variety, better spawns, and close communication with the community.
