People can't differentiate between strategic retreat in order to achieve a mission and running away. You can't argue with such people, one piece is not for low intellect individuals.

Do you even watch the show. Only Basil Hawkins and maybe Charlotte Smoothie didn't live up to their potential. The crew has been getting stronger especially the younger ones and most especially after the time skip.

Jimbie was the strongest fish-man to begin with even before he decided to be a part of the crew before the time skip. He had a high bounty even when he was young without any actual piracy, unlike the especially violent Jack and Kid whose bounty got jacked up due to their destruction. A washed up CP9 agent is no match for Jimbie.

1.Garling hasn't been confirmed to be his father or grandfather, Shanks has just been confirmed to be the brother of Figarland Shamrock

2. His hair is most probably grey with age as shanks is supposed to look just like a young Garling and yet he looks nothing like him which is only partially explained with age if he doesn't have greyed red hair.

Oda also buffed many others after the time skip especially Haki-wise so the power difference remained the same, created plot holes especially shanks loosing his arm became far more unexplainable, created absurd power scaling, and the two year difference didn't matter much especially in Luffy's character growth (as proved by elbaf arc).

It would have been better if it were a few months of traveling and training for the strawhat crew.
