That isn't exclusive to Far Cry. Since 3, every Ubisoft game is essentially the same. Sure, there are fewer guns in Assassin's Creed, but the gameplay is basically the same.

You don't necessarily have to spend that much on Long Touch. If you go and get it as soon as you get to Paradis, and don't upgrade anything prior to that, it only costs around 10% of the price you listed.
