Obviously not true? Look at the user scores on steam. You have to buy the game to leave a review there. I played it and did not enjoy it as it offers nothing beyond the setting which, after 40 years, isn't enough.
What, precisely was fresh and unique? Massive has made several very good games but this was a disaster. If you want to make a stealth game do it but it's not a stealth game because it has almost no actual stealth mechanics.
The setting isn't enough. The world is bloated with Star Wars. We've seen scoundrels and dive bars and all of this before. Nothing about the game was fresh or unique. It was safe and derivative in the extreme.
Machine games just did a licensed game that was both fresh and unique making an immersive sim like with a top notch story AND interesting gameplay.
There's no shortage of star wars in games. There's almost certainly too much actually.
