Za The Sailor Moon movies did, and so did one of the Bleach movies, one of the Inuyasha movies, the first My Hero Academia movie, and Jujutsu Kaisen movie.
Two of the Sailor Moon movies show her gaining new abilities, as well as revealing certain storyline that's referenced later. Bleach Hellverse shows Ichigo gaining a new attack, and something else important. Also his substitute reaper pass getting wrecked if I remember correctly. I know it takes place after the series ended. One of the Inuyasha movies is about his father, and the truth behind the two swords. They also show Sashomaru receiving his sword from his father. I feel like it is important. MHA Tale Of Two Heroes literally tells you why Deku has red wraps around his arms. Because a quirkless girl invented them, and they absorb the shock when he punches with his quirk. Without watching the movie, you don't know where they came from. There are other details I still don't understand in season 3, 5, and 6, because I haven't seen the other movies. The first Jujutsu Kaisen movie gives you the backstory as to what led Gojo down the path he went, as well as the other guy to become evil. It also shows Gojo killing the main villain, which is important storyline.

Jonathan The newer Broly movie is, and they planned to bring him back into the series. The Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Bleach, and My Hero Academia movies are all cannon. So I don't know what you're talking about. Even the first Jujutsu Kaisen movie came out around the same time as Mugen Train in America, being released a few months after Mugen Train in Japan.

That's exactly what I said! Even Sailor Moon had 4-5 movies, Inuyasha had 3, and Bleach had 5. They are being really dramatic! MHA is making their 4th movie. These arcs are so short, and a movie budget is too high to maintain for an entire anime series, let alone a season. The companies would be bled dry before they could make a profit..

Wow, you guys don't understand anime.. Sailor Moon did the same thing, tying up arcs from the mangas into movies. Same thing with Inuyasha, Dragon Ball, Bleach, My Hero Academia, and more. Movies aren't going to take over full seasons of anime, they're just going to add to it. Why? Movies are more expensive, but the budget increase allows for the animation to be more elaborate. And because Demon Slayer is known for its beautiful animation, it made sense to have a bigger budget, that could allow them to go all out, and make the ending more memorable. Other anime's aren't going to forgo an ENTIRE season for a movie! Maybe an arc, which is much, much shorter depending on the chapter it's in. A small enough arc would be at most, five episodes of an anime, and one chapter of a manga. So condensing it into two hours like Spy Family The Movie, makes sense. Same thing like Bleach Hellverse. But you'd be crazy to think that companies are just going to shell out millions of dollars a year to make enough movies to complete an anime series, let alone a season. It's much cheaper to make episodes, because the budget, and animation quality is lower. You could make 10-15 higher quality episodes for the price of a regular quality movie. 30 episodes of a higher quality anime, from Mugen Train's budget alone. And Infinity Castle's budget was even higher than that. So please stop being dramatic, and making anime fans panic!
