I can only agree with you on one point: One Piece is greater than Solo Leveling in terms of longevity and how deeply people have gotten used to it over the years. But when it comes to storytelling, there’s a clear difference. One Piece is emotional and powerful, yes, but Oda often drags it out and complicates things. Solo Leveling, on the other hand, is already complete, crystal clear, and incredibly impactful.

We’ve only seen two seasons of Solo Leveling so far, compared to One Piece running for decades, but if you really compare moments — like Kaido vs. Luffy and Beru vs. Sung Jin-Woo, Solo Leveling delivered a masterpiece in a single episode, while One Piece took countless episodes, with plenty of throwbacks, to reach its peak.

Don’t get me wrong, One Piece is still the greatest anime for me overall. But if we think wisely, Solo Leveling is far more efficient in its execution, and the fights still to come will be on an entirely new level.

PS: Both anime can’t truly be compared, Oda is playing a long, complex game rooted in reality and symbolism, while Solo Leveling is pure fantasy at its best. That said, Solo Leveling is better than any other anime mentioned in that article… just not quite comparable to One Piece.
