I mean is this of lost of most iconic characters, iconic isn't best. Solid snake in no world is better than big boss, unless the journalist confuses them like a lot of people do. I would also argue cloud from final fantasy 7 is better than all these characters, maybe we can also have Vergil as well. I think the top 10 and out of place would be,

Cloud, final fantasy 7

Big boss, metal gear solid

Delita, final fantasy tactics

Tali, mass effect

Velvet, tales of berseria

9-S nier automata

Walker, spec ops, the line

Jin, xenoblade chronicles 2

N, Xenoblade chronicles 3

Now these I think are gamings top 10 characters.

Honestly none of these fights were hard aside from volo, the hardest Pokemon battle for me ever was for some weird reason, the fighting girl rematch in brilliant diamond or the mustard fight from sword and shield. Still easier than most RPGs.

For me, lost odyssey combat was just so bad I could only play half the game, the ring system has some potential if it weren't for the fact that the games has 2 warriors And Mages. Since magic doesn't use rings, you almost never see rings. The animations were way to slow and long and the game was just to easy. I really liked the story I saw, but the combat was so bad I literally quit it. Keep in mind I love turn based combat, I have played so many turn based games and so lost odyssey loosing me is even more impressive.

I personally found mass effect 3 so much better than 2. Look, I played mass effect 1,2, and 3 many times and I've always looked forward for 3 the most. 3 has by far the best combat and mass effect 3 is the game is the best campaign. So many big events the franchise build up had satisfying conclusion in mass effect 3.

I mean, alot of the list is gonna be subjective, like for me, Xenoblade chronicles has some of the worst balancing ever and dq11 was just to easy and not balanced. Xenoblade chronicles would have you instantly kill bosses with your party 10 levels and I literally almost never killed any enemies. The map exp is just to good and broken. Dq11 even with drakonia. Difficulty on is only hard early game when you don't have heal or enough no and you got only hero. And blood bourne is considered to be the second hardest fromsoft game with only sekiro harder.

Bro does not believe in jrpgs. What about tales of vesperia or berseria. Final fantasy 9 or 10. Final fantasy tactics and tactics ogres. Kingdom hearts 358 days. Lost odyssey. Persona games. Those games have characters as good if not better than this list.

There is no way tactics ogres reborn made number 2, I do think it has the best story in a game ever, but I despised the combat. I hated having such a tight level that enemies are always higher level than you and bosses instantly having 4 tarot's. The final boss in the game is the only final boss ever that I just quit and never came back. I do think shining force 2 has the best combat of any game in this list.

Just before the punch, clive used all his energy to throw the sword threw ultimas chest. Ultima was pretty much weak and dead. The battlefield turned grey instead of bright colors. The punch is just a epic finisher. The punch didn't do anything, the sword impaling him did everything.

So essentially, every final boss In jrpg history the protagonist should lose. Maybe play some Mario if you want a final boss the characters can beat. Half of these boss fight you mentioned are really hard to beat and take hours. It sure feels like your characters beat them naturally, the gameplay is as important as the cutscenes.

For the most part, I agree with this list, but I would put lightning returns over 13-2. I know this isn't everyone's problems, but 13-2 broke for me the three times I bought. I got 360, steam, and Microsoft store and all of them where the glitchiest most broken game I played. I think 13 the best and 15 second best. Followed by lightning returns, 13-2, and then type-O

Lunafreya is the one I agree with the most, every other character at least has development unlike lunafreya who just does not even exist as a character. Lunafreya should be number 1.

Tidus and bartz definitely should be lower and lightning should be instant number 1 seeing as she's the goddess of death by the end and cloud in infinitely stronger than Zack by advent children, lightning Is number 1, cloud is second, Clive or Zack could be third and fourth. Jack Garland is 5th. Noctis is 6th. World of FF duo protagonist is 7th and possibly higher. And finally, terra.

Realistically, this entire list should be villains, final fantasy villains are stronger than the heros, it takes the good guy mages with multiple other characters to beat the villain, characters like bhunivelze, exdeath, zemu, kefka, and barthandelus should make the list.
