It's actually up to the author if he wants them to fight or not and of course he would decide who wins you can debut who would win all you want but it's still up to oda in the end

And yeah it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if he didn't die on God valley and it was just made to look like that to have strong character later in the story my guess is Big Mama and kaido would meet up with him join under him again along with Loki forming an alliance of course he would probably fight Blackbeard or shanks of course they still want to get revenge on Luffy at least two of them do

I wonder if red hair shanks was the main character how the story would have turned out considering he would start as at the beginning of this journey when Roger was alive all the way up to and giving Luffy to hat and losing your arm on purpos because a editor's choice when he was clearly strong enough to easily not lose the arm. It makes no sense throwing away a powerful characters arm especially if you make them an emperor of the sea if it would have been a weaker character I could understand. Any emotional impact would have been much. His goal would most likely be different than being the pirate king tbh

So you look at Blackbeard's fights most of them happen off screen but the ones that don't pretty mediocre cowardly and more of course I'm not caught up with the current manga though so I will need to catch up past when Luffy became the emperor but I was hoping the story would be complete by then so I can just finish all one shot I'm a binge reader
