I think it would be questionable to think any of them would be able to beat the Akatsuki on their own. For a few of them due to their chakra levels, risk of burnout on their technique, or chakra consumption of their techniques. You would have the issue of if Akatsuki goes in one pair at a time while the others hang back and watch. Plus you have various techniques to deal with.

I guess I'm curious to see why you think it's a final fantasy 7 clone. I don't remember them even playing the same. The combat mechanics were different and then you had the transformation as well. I don't remember there being a lot similarities. But if you played it more recently, I would be interested to hear what the similarities are.

I personally think Doom 3 would be enjoyed on a system where you can mod it to give it graphical upgrades. I do think it was overlooked not because it was necessarily a horrible game but because it changed the formula of what people expected for Doom
