I guess that depends on if the games story will be considered canon or not.

For titles that are part of the canon I could see this happening especially if a few of them choose to lean on him too heavily instead of evolving their own characters.

If the game is non canonical then who cares? It's just a bit of fun anyway stick him in a tutu if that's what turns you on. As long as the gameplay mechanics are good I'll probably even buy it when it goes on sale.
