I've always thought a Luxray would suit Aizawa particularly well; it's a lion (he likes cats), its eyes are red and gold (the colours his eyes glow when he uses Erasure in the anime and mang, respectively), its eyes glow, Luxray are protective of their young, and using their abilities tires them so they sleep a lot.
