See AllJurassic World Evolution 3 Dev Responds to Generative AI Controversy
I really want to sit down and have a Q&A with developers who think using AI for important artistic aspects of a game is okay. If you didn't have the time before, how do you have the time to completely redo it?
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Wins a Surprising Award
Dragon Age: Veilguard was a good game, and 1.3 million players is not bad. Corporate greed and sales projections misconstrue what success really is, and it turned out to be a beautiful game in the end. I think we're missing the point here.
Stellar Blade Sequel Confirmed by Developer
This was my Game of the Year. I have over 100 hours; the gameplay is just too addictive, and it's a must for anyone who loves action/adventure. The free content the studio has already given players is far beyond what other studios do. They have my complete respect.
Stellar Blade Director is Now Incredibly Rich
Wow, this is amazing!! I've played for about 110 hours, and intend to keep playing while new content is released. Congrats to the team for bringing such an amazing experience to the PS5.
Stellar Blade Director Responds to Story Criticisms
The story was great to me. I did not notice anything was wrong until I heard criticism from others. I actually think it was smarter to keep Eve less personable as I could think for myself while playing her. While, yes, every story can be made better, I don't think it was bad enough to warrant as much criticism as it got. It may even be a testament to the strength of everything else. Because the music, visuals, and gameplay were so amazing, maybe it drew attention to the part that wasn't A+. Regardless, it was my Game of the Year.
When Do You Decide If A Game is Good? - Gamers Said
It SHOULD be instantly, but some studios and game series are given more of a grace period if their prior work was outstanding. For example, FF16 took me about 25 hours before quitting and deciding it wasn't for me. Boss battles and a few cutscenes pulled me through it, but the rest was a slog. It also depends on if I spent money on it or not. Since I sunk almost $60 into it, I went ahead and tried my best to like it. I really try to give games the benefit of the doubt, and it usually takes me about 15 - 20 hours to decide. As a side note, I only play games I have researched heavily through reviews and gameplay videos, so the quality threshold is higher than people who don't do that. They are almost always good, but FF16 is an example of a game that strung me along through flashy graphics, but ultimately annoying gameplay and TOO many cutscenes caused me to decide it was not good.
