Why Your Oblivion Remastered Character May Be Leveling Faster Than You'd Expect

With the progression system the way it is now, trying to minmax is going to work against you in the same way that getting weak levels in the OG system did.

Oblivion Remastered's Best Race and Birthsign Combo is Virtually Unbeatable

I agree. Breton is the single best and most versatile race.

Nothing beats that 50% magic resist and if that weren't enough once a day you can do dragonskin and be an unstoppable tank in a tough battle.

It equals out to having to put less enchantments on your gear toward those and you can add in other stuff.

Oblivion Remastered Player Ignores the Main Quest, Regrets It

If the scaling gets crazy on you just turn the difficulty down to make it more doable. There are no difficulty related achievements.

If you're a purist and just have to do it on high difficulty it's still doable. Find an area you can fall backward into and draw a few enemies in at a time. Repeat.
