The Latest Doctor Who Might Already Be Done With the Role

8 episodes of CGI (11 w/ Tennett) is just too short of a season. Quit being constrained with an exorbitant budget per episode and stretch it out to build characters and relationships. Make us care about the people on screen like they're family. It's why Tennett and Smith worked for us; and Capaldi to a lesser degree.
