Yeah, why not? Let's just slowly get rid of everything that makes Elder Scrolls actually unique and enjoyable, because we hate having fun in a single player game, apparently. Why do so many people that write about video games for a living seem to fundamentally misunderstand video games?

CDPR is and has been done with Cyberpunk since 2.1, everything since had been outsourced with maybe a couple executives signing off on progress reports from Virtuous. They haven't gone back on or contradicted anything they've said, not sure what this article is trying to say

I tried to go back to Skyrim after finishing Oblivion (finished Skyrim once when it first came out), made it about a couple hours before I remembered a) the main story fizzles like a wet fart in the end and b) how annoying it was just trying to go from point A to point B without having to detour around a mountain or 15 cliffs and ravines

Yes it has, "gameplay" has always been a lot more than just smacking people with swords and fireballs, especially in an RPG. Saying "gameplay doesn't matter" while referring to maybe 30% of the actual gameplay mechanics is certainly a take

He's written himself into a corner of plot threads he can't connect. Either that, or the show ending was his ending and he's salty at the fan reception of how truly awful it was (there's no reality where Bran/GRRM self-insert ending up king feels earned) and refuses to finish, or is desperately trying to rewrite as he goes.
