It is funny how you buy something, but it's not yours. It's not a the full product, "It's just a license." You'll have no more access to it, should the company decide so. However, say that a person pirates it. Then, it now quickly becomes a product, not just a license (and it gains a legal team).
I disagree with any form of crime, but this brings back to memory a post I once saw: "If buying isn't owning, then pirating is not stealing."
