As an artist, I can confirm that it isn't cheating:) Many artists use 3d models as reference, or even trace over the base shape to get a feel for proper anatomy. It's not cheating. Pick up a pencil. Berserk is a lovely Manga, yes, and I understand favorites, but an artist isn't a "cheater" because they use references or models. I'd say it's impressive that Gege still did a fair portion of the Manga before he started using 3d models.
