Project rene was already slated to be a mobile multi-player companion to sims 4 what they teased was a single player version of rene and a possible sims 4 expansion pack. They weren't working on sims 5 and they still aren't, thank goodness. Sims 4 just keeps improving and we've sunk far too much time and money into it to just start over.
