It's not a healer build, but in playing on expert, I've found restoration an invaluable asset to keeping my conjuration and other followers alive.

That said, you can build a party with the right quests.

With the Battlehorn castle man-at-arms and Knights of the Nine followers being able to follow you simultaneously, plus an atronach from frostcrag spire, I have a rolling squad of plus 3, or 4 when I conjure.
