It fits on this list, though. It was the firat FF that fully embraced the science fiction that had been flirted with in 4 and 6. It did reinvent what the series could be. This isn't "best jrpgs".

So stoked to see Eternal Sonata here! One of my favorite games of all time! There needs to be a new or easier way to play it. The combat system was so unique and fun. I'm probably biast being a mediocre pianist having learned some of Chopin's work, though.

Burying the lead like this is frustrating, and bad journalism. I understand it drives clicks. Hell, it works on me almost everytime something like this pops up on my feed. But saving it for the bottom of the second paragraph is just wild. Yes, it gets more eyes on more ads, and we definitely want this site around, but other sites respect readers' time by putting an "in this article/highlights" section at the top, informing us whether we want to read the full article in the first place, and they survive just fine. I know it'll never change, it's just something that I find disrespectful and lacking integrity.
