After 6 Hours, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a Definite GOTY Contender [Hands-on Preview]
I actually fully agree. I don't know why others have the opinions they do, but I absolutely adore this game. I love the companions, while others seem to dislike them, and though people find the diversity elements forced, but I don't find this to be true at all, I think they're far better written than the last game's, which felt bloated and lackluster in ways others appear to think this game is. Veilguard is darker than Inquisition and significantly more engaging. Its story actually pushes the plot forward far more dramatically, I feel, than any game since Origins.
I've enjoyed the architectural connections between Minrathous and Kirkwall, from 2, and feel as though this maintains Inquisition's art direction while stepping noticeably back toward the others.
Yes, things are different, but I would absolutely contest on every level any argument that this is a bad game. It is honestly one of the better I have played this year and between me and every one of my friends that have played it, it could absolutely be my GotY.
Space Marine though...
