As a sapphic ace.. Huh? I'm happy to see us represented in media, in all kinds of characters. I don't see why we have to squeeze in a gay relationship along side lesbian ones in stories, just so it doesn't come across as "fetishy." I think their relationship and them being soulmates, without being inherently romantic, is incredibly poetic. You rarely see friendships portrayed in that light of affection in media, especially between men, which may also mean a lot to the aroace community. Also the whole thing of "wow they made the disabled person asexual, smh" is insanely weird to me.
