From what I read online, Solo Leveling did not particularly do well in Japan but it was extremely popular abroad.

Typically one of the key metrics for an anime's success is based of how well it did in Japan, which could be the reason why Solo Leveling has not be prioritized by A1.

I guess we will have to wait longer for a season 3... Sigh

The price tag is fair, but I do believe that if ARC Raiders was not in the picture, the price tag would have been higher. They understand that they have a strong competitor in the extraction shooter genre.

I will miss Jin as a protagonist simply because he was great and I absolutely loved the first game. However, SuckerPunch knows how to make games and, I for one, look forward to playing their new installment. New story, new protagonist, new ambitions and world - I'm all for it. Honestly, as long as the game doesn't focus its attention and story on a "wok culture" or narrative. Why should you give a damn if they used an activist as the lead voice actor, as long as that person can stay professional and not push an agenda that will alienate its consumer base. If that is kept in check, it will be fine and a welcomed addition.
