Square Enix Shut Down a Popular Final Fantasy 14 Mod, But Now It's Changing the Game
I made this account solely to comment on how brain-dead this take is. I couldn't just scroll away. A HUGE amount, if not most, long time and even casual players used mare. And such a small percentage of them engage in ERP, at least openly. Ive played the game for thousands of hours, and only recently installed Mare at the start of the year. I immediately had a blast just making outfits out of stuff that was restricted to me before. A huge draw for this game to so many people is the fasion and personal customization, and Mare completely unlocked that. It was now a choice to accept imposed style restrictions, or to simply unlock it if you desired. Mare and ERP do not go hand in hand as you suggest. Most people ive met in the game would ask if I had a Mare code, and for most of the time I played, I didnt. But it was still everywhere. You know what isnt everywhere, as you suggest? ERP. Sure, it exists and is known about by word of mouth, but in my thousands of hours of play, Ive never engaged in it or even just stumbled upon it in public chat as you imply. Not once, not even close. It's something you have to seek out yourself. If you're seeing it, you're hanging out in places where it's likely advertised to be happening in the party finder. It's completely a choice. Just like style in the game should be. I see so many people bring up the big scary FFXIV ERP, and so many people say they were going to try the game until they heard that its basically just gooner ERP simulator, and that is so not the case. Stop pushing this ridiculous, blown out of proportion lie
